Pakistani Ex-Muslim Who Volunteered for Jihad, Esther Ahmad
On this episode of Divine Intervention Radio, we are joined by Esther Ahmad. As a young, devout Muslim in Pakistan, Esther's strong desire to please both her family and Allah led her to volunteer to commit Jihad for a terrorist organization. Her plan was to blow herself up in the process of killing as many Jews and Christians as she could. Just before she was to leave for her terrorist training, a man made of light appeared to her in her dream, raised the dead and called her by name to follow him. This led to an amazing journey of seeking the answers to who the man of light in her dream was, and ultimately leading her to put her faith and trust in Jesus Christ. As a result of leaving Islam, she fled her home country of Pakistan due to life-threatening persecution for her Christian faith. She and her family were refugees in Malaysia for eight years; today, they reside in the American South. Esther shares her story of survival and redemption through speaking before churches and organizations, and in her gripping memoir, Defying Jihad: The Dramatic True Story of a Woman Who Volunteered to Kill Infidels--and Then Faced Death for Becoming One.
