Why Donate?

 

This has always been, and remains, a sticky subject for me. I had always been a private and independent person, and never liked to share my burdens or needs with anyone. Call it pride, or just an unhealthy, self-reliant spirit. in 2002, when I was diagnosed with a massive, cancerous tumor that doctors told me could very well kill me within months, if not weeks, everything changed. I was forced (kicking and screaming) into a position of powerlessness and total dependence - both on God, and on other people. I saw first-hand how God provided, and how the community of believers rallied around me to support me with prayers, love, and finances to get me through my ordeal. They genuinely wanted to be involved and gave generously, with love. It was an amazing thing to behold as all of my non-covered medical bills were paid for through the generous donations of God's people - one of the many miracles I experienced throughout my illness. When I was healed from cancer, and I first felt the calling to start Divine Intervention Radio, I told the Lord that I would do it as long as He provided the funds and support to do it, as I knew He could. I had seen it demonstrated during my illness. So, if the funds were not available, I would simply quit. I did not want to go around begging for money, and I haven't. What I learned from my cancer ordeal is that the Lord will provide for His will to be done. If He calls, He pays. So far, the Lord has provided the funds necessary to carry on the production of this radio show through the generous donations of His people, some from unlikely and surprising sources. As you can imagine, there are expenses that go along with producing a radio show. Some of these expenses include: web site hosting fees, studio time, electric/utilities, consulting fees, etc. Some radio stations also charge for airtime, which is not cheap. Maybe you enjoy listening to the amazing miracle testimonies featured on this show, or the Lord has used this show to encourage you or positively impact your life or someone you know? If so, perhaps you would consider becoming a partner with us, and supporting this work? Please do not feel obligated or guilted into giving. If you feel that way, please, keep your money. However, if you want to be a blessing to me, this ministry, and to someone listening in, I welcome your support. I will not promise you that if you give, God will shower you with money ten fold, or supernaturally erase all your debt. What I will say is that your donation will be welcome, and will surely help with the furtherance of the Gospel through this radio ministry. Together, we can take the message of God's miracles far and wide, and by His grace, reach a broken and hurting world that is desperately in need of encouragement and hope - the hope only Jesus can give.
